oh, 150-500, I really want to play with you, but I really can't justify buying you, even with the excuse that I could cancel my gym membership if I carried you around everywhere.

Oh man that's a great deal on the 10-20 people are still trying to sell them used for $350+

Adam you think the difference between f/3.5 all the time and the newer one is a big change? keep in mind I'd be using this at night a lot

The 10-20 has been on sale a lot, progressively getting cheaper. They sell too much used TBH...

I haven't had either, but the 3.5 is a lot more expensive and has no improvement other than 3.5 which I hear isn't really usable. Don't quote me on that though.

2 other differences: the 3.5 makes nice 14 point stars out of light sources, the 4-5.6 makes ugly 6 bladed fan ones. The 3.5 requires 82mm filters, which are where they start to get much more expensive; the 4-5.6 uses 77mm.

That is 50 dollars more than the going used price of that 10-20mm lens.. was hoping to hold off until the end of the year for it when everyone ditches their Pentax APS-C gear (haha).... but wow that is tempting..

If you order it now maybe it will arrive by the end of the year.

The F4-5.6 for Pentax doesn't have HSM, should edit that to be clear. It's HSM for the other mounts I think..

Perhaps. However, I suspect they will charge immediately.

Technically, this shouldn't be the case (for US credit cards). They will do an authorization but they won't charge you in full until it ships.

Yes.. theoretically that is correct. However, I think I'm going to wait for BF and the hullabaloo that will occur between Photokina and then.

Adam is correct. When I placed my order (the last time Adorama had a sale + coupon code) I received notice that it was back ordered. I was not charged until a month later when I went to cancel the order.

Yep. So I decided to cancel the order and buy it from B&H instead. It arrived in about four days.
