you can place it in your shopping cart and go to checkout so it must be in stock.
I actually e-mailed CRKennedy and asked if it is available body only.

the lens supplied with K-S1, on the photo it looks like DAL 18-55 but in the description:

Type / construction: PENTAX KAF2 bayonet stainless steel mount
Usable lenses: KAF3, KAF2, KAF, KA mount lens (K mount, 35mm screw-mount, 645/67 medium

can anybody explain this?

I think they are just confirming that the body supports SDM lenses.

I really doubt the kit 18-55 lens is a new SDM 18-55.

I wouldn't worry. Specs are often odd or wrong in the first few months, then websites fix things up

The initial K-s1 specs even on the Japan site mentioned both 12-bit and 14-bit raw, but now the 14-bit reference is gone. Several previewers note the camera goes to 102400 ISO; unfinished firmware probably explains some of that, but it would be nice if it were correct sooner for prospective pre-orders. The updated page does include formerly-unlisted items like AF adjustment and other items. And DPReview's notes show "IN STOCK" at Amazon, which shows 1-2 month delivery time. Lots of confusion and misinfo at the start, that's for sure!

Note that under Lens is a list of compatible lenses - a clue that this section is mislabeled..
