I would post a critique on these cards very cheap, with some Pentax cameras.

I've always used one of these cards (Sony 16GB Class 10 Secure Digital UHS-1 94MB / s), it's always worked out well on the K20 and K-5II, no problem.

When I put in the K-3, in the first slot, it's all ok, but in the second slot, the camera gives me "read error" or "can not be formatted."
I tried to format with pc but not solved the problem.

Got a good scare, already broken the second slot?

Then I tried with some cards of another brand again in the second slot, and everything still works fine.
I did a search on the web to see if others had the same problem, and I found in differents reviews of Amazon.co.uk, the same sony card has many problems with different pentax cameras.

Just to inform you, maybe it is better to spend a little more, but have a product that does not make problems

Not only Sony, Lexar doesn't work as well on K-30.

So what SD cards are recommended to work well in Pentax cameras?

I'm buying a new one for a K10D coming in, soon.

Can't go wrong with Sandisk, but make sure the firmware in the older camera will support newer cards.
SDHC probably is OK, SDXC may not be supported.

I currently have a Sandisk 16GB SDHC Ultra SD card class 10, I assume if formatted in camera this would be ok?

Most of the Sandisks I see online are class 4, these ok?

I am using a TRANSCEND micro SDHC Class 10 UHS - 600x Ultimate 32 GB with adapter and it works fine with the three cameras I own , K20, K- 5II and k -3... I've never had a problem.

format in camera, that's fine, but does not delete data, delete only the FAT, File Allocation Table ... for a full format to delete sensitive data, you can do on your computer and use the slow formatting instead of quick format

That should work but I don't have a K-10D anymore to test. On this page you can get the latest firmware that supports SDHC if it is not loaded on your camera.
