I picked one up yesterday........will be a lens that will always be able to fit in a bag.......no need to decide if you have room.....this guy is so compact.....

This deal has been around for a while now. I tried it out at a store, it just felt so weird, the handling was just "off" for me. I walked away even though its an amazing deal. How do you like it so far Mistlefoot?

I have not played too hard with the lens and so far think it's a lesser lens then the 35mm 2.4 (my closest comparible lens). That said, I usually need a bit to get used to a lens and still find this little guy takes some nice pictures. The main push for me really was the size though. This lens is a lens you can always bring with (it fits into a filter pocket in my bag) you....

I don't think it's discontinued...

Reports suggest it's nearly as good as the 40 limited. If I didn't have that lens already, I'd be buying the XS in a pinch.

I looked and couldn't find any in stock in various cites I picked. They may be out now - does anyone have different info to report? I also tried switching to deliver - but immediately got an out of stock like message.

Looks like it is out of stock at the moment. I ordered one the other day and it said 3 left in stock.

I have the 40mm pancake lens, it's one of my most used lenses, small but with great sharpness, convenient for a wide array of shooting, but especially for street photography due to it's compact and unobtrusive size. $149 is a great price!
