Is the focus really better than a k-30?
Only ask as the k-30 generally has really good focus speeds ~ it was specifically commented on in live view especially early on.

The k-30 has much better video control options, (24 fps option for example), but loses the real stabilisation in video mode.

This price is pretty darn stunning though, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's actually on runout.

I did feel there was a difference between my K-5 classic which is the same sensor configuration vs the K-5iis that drops the AA filter.
The pics look sharper on the iis.
If you are shooting far away landscapes or subjects at a distance it might allow for more apparent detail in the iis shots.
If all your work is portraits of people up close then that may not matter as much and possibly be undesirable.

This sounds very reasonable. I sold my K5IIs to get the K3 and have since reacquired a K5. I use the K5 with wider lenses and have been pleasantly surprised at the quality for the ways I use it. The long lenses stay on the K3. Thanks to Larry for the revealing comparison.

i've purchased combo K-5iis + grip + memory card + DA 50mm f1.8 = 663.90 . I'm so happy with this deal

I just had a chat with someone from BH, asking if it' possible to get missed discount for DA 50mm f1.8 to purchase it in addition, since my camera is on the way, and they said no because I received free grip and memory card and that order is not available now. Yep, but I'm not ordering camera now.
Never mind...
