FYI the $596 bundle is still available at B&H if you call them.
Salesperson I spoke with didn't know why the website showed a higher price as he was able to offer the deal to me right away.
Make sure and buy the add on Pentax warranty if you are in US, part number B&H # PEEWAI Mfr # 85716

Only down side is that by calling B&H direct the forum doesn't get credit for the transaction, so be sure and support PF via donation.

Anyone know the cost of getting one landed in Australia? Id upgrade from the 5 to the 5iiS just for the low light AF improvements, let alone have a grip thrown in.

Add one to your cart, click go to cart and select Australia as the shipping destination. Cost of UPS 5-7 days is USD 61.60 which makes the total USD 658.55. Assuming an exchange rate of around USD 0.84 = AUD 1.00 on your credit card (couple of cents below the market rate) you're looking at 783.98 landed.

You don't have to pay any GST as the price of the goods is below AUD 1,000.00. If the value of the goods exceeds AUD 1,000.00 you have to add 10% GST to the total (goods + shipping).

I just received my K-5IIs, what a great camera.
I have had two K-5 (classic) and also have a K-3, but shooting with the K-5IIs is so nice.
Pentax did such an awesome job with this camera.

It's weird because it handles just like my K-5 units did, but the AF seems more positive and the images have that same smoothness of the K-5 but seem sharper! Pulling the AA filter was a good move.
It's like running into a friend you haven't seen in a while and they look better than you remember (did you lose weight? do something new with your hair?)

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate my K-3's speed and AF-C and peaking and all the goodies, but for pure IQ the K-5 sensor is fantastic.
And I love that soft marshmallow squish sound of the shutter.

If there is another drop in price for Black Friday I will probably pick up another one, I like it that much!

Hi Stan. The K-3 is an excellent unit for sports and that's mainly why I did it. For everything else the K-5IIs is perfect.

These great deals on the K5iis are really anxiety provoking. I would really like to have one again to back up my K3 but I know I should be patient and satisfied with what I have.

I have and like the K3 but for most purposes the K5iis is excellent. If he price goes low enough I may reacquire one as a backup.

Very tempting indeed. I'm looking to upgrade from a K-x, but I also have a K-01 and that camera has a feature that the K-5iis misses - focus peaking, which has spoiled me for all other manual focusing aides, and that's even though I fitted my K-x with a split-screen viewfinder. It's too bad, since other than that, the K-5iis would be about perfect.

I'm trying to upgrade from the Kx as well. With the 50mm in one k3 kit and the flash upgrade in another, it really narrows the price gap though.

These deals are kinda sad. I might put a K-5II on my wish list but I'd much rather pay <$500 for the body only. Keep the "$100 value!" for the grip. I don't need or want it.
