Just an update, I ordered one of these on October 15th and have received an email that they expect to receive a supply of the lenses on November 28th.

I've had no prior experience with the store, but I can not see how dealing with them is a problem. Since they're an authorized Pentax dealer, I don't have to worry about getting a grey market lens that I can't have serviced under warranty. At $119.95 (I'm getting free shipping) this is an excellent price for the DA 50/1.8. In fact it's the best price I've seen these days for the lens without buying it bundled with a camera. They're not billing me until it ships and I can always cancel the order. So there's nothing for me to lose as I see it.

If I was in a hurry for the lens, I could buy it today from Adorama or B&H for $181.95. I'm in no hurry, so I'll wait and see what happens. The worst that can happen is they cancel the order because they can't supply the lens at that price.

I think if they made a mistake on the pricing, they'd have deleted the offer by now.

Appears the price is back up to $185.

Hope they honor your purchase price, but if it is anything like last time, they will cancel your order.

Just wanted to add that yesterday I received an Email from the Pentax Store saying that my 50mm 1.8 had shipped. I paid the $119 that it was advertised for back in October and received free shipping. It was on backorder and it's been a bit of a wait, but the price couldn't be beat. I'll update this when I have the lens in hand.

To close the loop on my order for the Pentax 50mm 1.8 from the Pentax Store, I received my lens today, December 1, 2014. It was ordered back in October, but was out of stock at the time. The Store had notified me regarding the backordered lens, saying they expected them on November 28th, and again when the lens was shipped. Got the lens for $119.95 with free shipping. At the time of order, others were selling the lens for $180 something.

There seems to be a lot of doubts being expressed about dealing with the Pentax Store over some past pricing incident. I hope posting my experience helps ease some of those concerns.

I also recieved my 50mm today. I ordered it back on October 12th and it was on backorder since. But it arrived today, i tried it out, and i love the bokeh created from my Christmas tree lights. My son is drooling over my lens . It was well worth the wait and at a good price. I would order from them again.
