It does seem at odds for the moment. My guess is that the K-3 is about to be replaced, leaving it's successor as the flagship and
the K-5IIs as the second tier body. At that point the K-5IIs will look enticing again relative to the $1200ish that a K-3 successor
will likely cost.
Whatever the case, it makes that K-3 all the more attractive at the moment.
