After some research, I am not sure how great they are. Both of those I listed above are priced the same on B&H and Adorama I believe. So maybe not so great.

I have the Rokinon 14mm f2.8 and the hood is part of the lens. You cannot remove it so you cannot attach any filter.

I think (someone please correct me if I am wrong) that the Vivitar 13mm is really the same one except that its hood comes off. And it is $100 cheaper.

They are all rebranded versions of the Samyang if I remember correctly. Rokinon, Samyang, Boyer. All are the same make just rebranded.


Also, I did check a few and they seem to be the same price as found on B&H and Adorama. So not sure how awesome they really are. Check around!
