Seems like a pretty smoking hot deal - I'm jealous as I recently bought this lens for a bit more (from Prodigital2000). Anyway, it's from a Canadian Ebay seller with top-notch feedback, though I've never dealt with them. Hope someone benefits. Here's the link.

I also asked the seller about the warranty and received essentially the same response:

"This lens comes from an Authorized dealer, the warranty is a full 1 year international warranty (valid in the US).

I don't know what significance the words "comes from an authorized dealer" have concerning the warranty, but it would seem that the seller is not an authorized dealer. Be that as it may, the seller told me they may have the deal back some time before Christmas. Perhaps anyone who bought one of these from this seller could let us know how their experience was.

Yes, this is an old deal. It was indeed a decent price, but the Pentax Webstore deal was smoking hot if you live in the US. (EDIT: Oops, party's over at Pentax Webstore it seems?)

I have a feeling they're the same people as Prodigital2000. They both ship from Stratford, and Stratford is a pretty small town. Guess could always compare what their address is.

I recently made one transaction with Quickndone and one with Prodigital2000. They both ship out of Stratford ON, and both boxes I received identify the sender as Carman's Foto Source, with the same address (257 Monteith Ave). It seems pretty clear they are the same, but Prodigital2000 bills as "402424 Ontario Limited" and Quickndone bills as "2254062 Ontario Limited" - or at least they respectively did in my single transaction with each of them. So it's possible they're not legally the same company.

Question about warranty: Doesn't Pentax/Ricoh Canada require a copy of your sales receipt for warranty service and doesn't that receipt have to show you bought the product from an authorized dealer?

I don't know anything about Quickndone, but I inquired with Pentax Canada about Prodigital2000 a few years ago, and they are an authorized dealer with full Canadian warranty.
