It's a beautiful collectible item, but at this price I think I would just get a canon 135mm F2 and a 6D, or an older 5D.
I really wonder if this lens is worth $2.7k.

Is it me only or I see at least 2 nicks on the rear glass element - yet the seller claims : 'Optic/Glass: No scratches, No haze, No fungus!'
?
IMO even in pristine condition this is a bit too much - but if demand meets the cash somebody might actually buy it

Meanwhile, Pentax doesn't make or sell any new 135mm lens at all, or even a 85mm as crop equivalent. Imagine this lens with AF, WR, QS and HD coatings! Instead, so many Pentaxians buy Samyang, Helios or legacy glass.. how can Ricoh not find this worth it?

Since I have a copy in as good or better condition I hope it sells at that price (but I got mine for substantially less.)
It is an exquisite lens and I agree entirely with Na Horuk!

Yeah, me too. Superior usability, but alas, no awesome old school build and charm.

There's actually a second one (in better cosmetic shape) listed for 2700. It will be interesting to see if either one moves at that price.

This is truly expert testimony! As to "charm", well, that's in the IQ--pixie dust aplenty in the output.

They do appear from time to time on 'Feebay' - they're rare but not impossible to find if you're patient.

Yup. He would know. Though dadipentak's gracious sale, I now own his previous 'wounded warrior' copy. Though it's badly wounded and seen better days, it's still magic. I hereby bestow a name upon my copy. I shall call it "Sparkle"
