There are a lot of other lenses on sale as well although the price cuts are not quite as high generally.

I just ordered the 31mm :-)

It looks like I'm going to get a free FA 31mm. My copy is on the UPS truck as we speak and my credit card hasn't been billed yet. All I see is a $1,299.95 pending charge.

This may be the dumbest forum post of my life.

I ordered FA31 on 11/28. I have the same story like yours. So, I sent them a email on Tuesday morning and told them the price difference issue . Last night, I received the shipment confirmation which showed the total amount was still $1300. But, a few minutes ago, I received their email which responded my previous email and told me the difference would be refunded immediately. I check my bank account and $1300 is still pending. I will keep watching on my account.

Mine is same story as yours. But i got my money back into my account. Now my order status is "Reg Ord ready proces". Need to see whether they will charge 1300 again or the black friday sale price..Btw the lens has been shipped

After a couple of days of follow up they said they would credit the extra amount charged back to my credit card. Now just waiting to see when the credit is posted to my discover account.

Don't wait a couple of days. Call every single day at the same time.

It's unfortunate but there's no other choice with this outfit.

I too have the same status "Reg Ord ready proces". What does that mean?

I called them to ask about the 4GB Eye Fi card that was supposed to be bundled with the K-50 Body. At first the lady on the phone said that she spoke to her manager and that they said that it wasn't supposed to come with it, but I made my case that it actually states and is pictured with the card. She spoke to her manager again and managed to make my case for me. She agreed that it's misleading on the site and they are sending me the card. She was very pleasant on the phone. If the card comes in the mail as it should, then my experience wasn't so bad. I'm sorry that others are having these really big issues. Mine was pretty minor in comparison.

The order status for my 50mm macro 2.8 changed to "shipping", so I expect I'll see it in NYC in the next couple of days. The pending charge to my Amex card is for the full amount (not the sale price) and I've flagged the pending charge so that I'll get an email update when it posts. (That's a feature with Amex I hadn't noticed before - if you're concerned about a pending charge, you can flag it to get a reminder when it posts so that you can dispute it - because you can't dispute a pending charge. Handy.)

Even if my order gets sorted out appropriately in the end, I will never buy from the Pentax online store ever again. The stories on this thread have turned me off. Adorama and B&H are so much more reliable and fast.

I agree with that! If it weren't for the near $100 price difference I wouldn't have ordered from them either. Left high and dry on a previous order.
I called them this morning to check on my order placed on 11-28 for HD 55-300. They confirmed correct item and price and told me "couple of weeks" for back ordered item. Time will tell. B&H and Adorama have always been great and much preferred for me.
