There's a Sigma AF 24mm 2.8 on Ebay right now for 114 + free shipping... seems to be in very good shape. And the price is very good I think, these usually go for 200+.

No it's not my lens, and in fact, if I had sold some things on Craigslist that I was hoping to sell, I'd buy this... but alas, no money. So if I can't have it, I would rather it go to one of our forum friends...

That sold quickly. I have the MF version and I paid much less

I shouldn't say 'much' less because I paid $75 after shipping. But it included a K1000, a Sigma AF 75-300, and a F-mount Cosina 28/2.8 for some reason...

But you got lucky since it was part of a bundle of stuff at Goodwill auctions. And there was no guarantee that yours wasn't going to be completely full of fungus.

The MF version usually sells for 130-150 here in the forums, and anywhere between 80 and 150 on Ebay.

Anyway! Was it someone here who bought it? Was this helpful to anyone?

Sorry I missed this. I always thought it might be a good poor-man's DA 21mm.

Really more of a destitute mans FA 24...

I think it is a great poor-man's FA 24. It focuses very close, and is very sharp from 2.8. And smaller. Only color and glare are behind.

Relative to the DA 21, it is better wide open. But the DA improves with stopping down, the Sigma not so much.
