Good, hope you get yourself a nice Xmas gift... as much as I enjoyed my k-5/IIs, my impression on the k-3 is very promising (more details and much improved WB especially in difficult lighting conditions).

I'm planning to buy the K-3 along with the battery grip in the B&H New York Superstore when I'm there on my trip back to Sweden after my holiday in February (Shipping to Sweden includes HIGH taxes.). The current price for this combo lays around 800 USD on the internet, including B&H. Today I found out that the 300$-rebate will expire 31/12. Do you guys think the price will continue to fall or go back to the previous price? What does it use to be when manufacturers are on their way to launch new cameras; will Pentax lower the prices or will they be higher?

This is probably the lowest it will be for some time. Once it is discontinued it will drop again, but that will take time and there is no way of knowing how long or whether they will throw in the grip again.
