I came across this and wanted to share. A new pentax K3 for $699 with free shipping from an Ebay store with multiple avail.

Steve, they are legit distributor... I got one (brand new) from them on Black Friday with 2-yr. Canadian warranty. Although, It is a bit more than the Black Friday price, but still very competitive.

I sent a request for information to the ebay seller to make sure it does include the Strap, battery, manual, and box. I do not see where it states it is not includes. Ad states it is an unopened box the same as a retail store. I see back in November they sold it for $619.99 with good feedback from buyer at http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pentax-K-3-23-4-MP-Digital-SLR-Camera-Black-Body-only-/181520686429

Hmmm... seems to me if it was $619 once, it'll be that again. Either there or elsewhere. Look at the price of the K-5 IIs now.

I was hoping it was going to be $619 again (it was same seller), in that case, I'd consider foregoing the grip.

I don't think there's any question that the K-3 will eventually get down to $619 - or less - there or elsewhere. Of course, like the K-5 IIs, it'll probably be on final closeout. The question is, can you wait or are you willing to wait? If not, then fair enough. Go for it now. Myself, I have mixed feelings about the K-3 and think that 16mp is still the sweet spot for APS-C (although that will no doubt change as sensor technology continues to evolve). So I can wait. But if the price of a K-3 body drops to $500 or less like the K-5 IIs is now, I would probably jump on it.

I agree it will be at or below that price again eventually and the only question is when. As it was just 619 last month it would be great if that When was Xmas time. I will def grab it at that price and not think twice. In the mean time I hope everyone keeps an eye out and posts if they find a great deal.

I was making a small joke. There is an old tradition of bait 'n switch for camera mail order and eBay sales. That indeed is a good price and the next question might be whether the camera is gray market (lacking the US/Canada warranty).

There is no bait-and-switch for this ebay seller... you get what you order (and brand new item unless stated otherwise). The k-3 I received have a legit Canadian 2-yr warranty; think it is 1-yr US International warranty. Don't know if you can send back to them on the 2nd yr of warranty.
