Merry Christmas folks!

For you Canadians out there, Henry's as the Sigma 150-500 on for $899 this week.
The lowest I've seen it yet.

Search - Henry's best camera store in Canada

I'm still fighting over that lens or to save my loonies to buy the DA*300 and the 1.4x TC which would be WR and from what I've read, sharper.

Nice find. It goes to $769 once a year here in the States, doesn't it in Canada? That sale was a month ago and its now at $869 here in the US. I got mine last month after waiting for that sale and am very happy with it. The 300+TC combo may be sharper but at $1500 US its not worth 2x to me (obviously by my purchase).

Lol nope. We Canadians pay extra phantom taxes & fees, plus a difference in currency so always higher

Well, then the $899 is probably a terrific deal. Its an awfully nice lens.

Hi Doc,

Just wanted to update you that I never end up buying the Sigma.

I held off for a variety of reasons and then one day, by pure luck, checked Kijiji and found a used (in pretty much mint condition) DA*300 for $900.

I checked it over today and ended up buying it. Very excited!

Just thought I'd mention, saw a couple of them today on ebay for US $860.00, from the same seller. Might be good for US customers. Feedback is a bit low-ish but they give a 6 month warranty.
