I have gotten word from Adorama that "December 31st is the last day for the major instant rebates on a majority of Pentax/Ricoh Items for at least a little while. Most Instant rebates will either end tomorrow or the prices will go up."

Typically its a time limit. Thanksgiving to New Year's is almost always the best time to buy Pentax gear from a price standpoint in my experience. They said they would expire on 12/31 and most did.

Everything has gone back to regular pricing at Adorama, but B&H has the converter, DA^300, and K5-IIs for special pricing for sure. There are others, but if you are looking for something specific, I would follow the top deals links and see there current pricing.

One of the side benefits of discounts on new gear is a drop in prices on used gear. Now that new gear is going back up in price I think we'll see used gear prices rise as well. Add to that an increase in demand as people may be spending some left over Christmas money.

I got a new 50-135 for $850 on Amazon last week. I couldn't resist that price.

Wow! That is a GREAT price... I'm saving for that lens and hope to find it under $1,000 by Fall. The cheapest I've seen it was Black Friday of 2013 when I think it was around $950 at B&H. $850 is amazing. Glad you got it!
