Magnification range from 0.1x to 2x. Easily alter the magnification ratio without installing any extension tube or teleconverter. Ideally suited for rapidly changing macro photography scenarios.
Wide magnification range also makes it extremely useful for shooting macro objects (e.g. insects) with different sizes.
Designed also for normal shooting purposes with a 60mm focal length. An all-in-one solution for normal portrait shooting as well as ultra-macro photography.
Houses with 9 elements in 7 groups patented optical structure to provide great deal of image clarity and color renderness.
The optical system consists of 2 major moving lenses groups in order to minimize the barrel distortion.
14 pieces of aperture blades form a close-to-circular aperture, capable of creating creamy shallow depth of view.
The enclosure of the lens is made of metal to strengthen its durability.
A complimentary lens pouch and filter are included in the package.
Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony Alpha and Pentax K mount are available

This seems to be a very new lens (2015?), from a brand-new Chinese company:
About Us | Venus Optics - Specialist in Macro Photography
It looks like very few of these lenses have been sold (outside of China) so far, so that the e-bay seller doesn't have any feedback for these lenses yet (and people may not have received them yet). And the only other way you can buy them is directly through the company's website.
So, I don't expect many people have used this lens, if at all.

Petapixel has a very brief description:
The Venus 60mm f/2.8 Ultra Macro is the World's First 2:1 Magnification Lens with Infinity Focus

Interesting - it vignettes at infinity on FF, but can only achieve 2:1 on FF as well. Lots of focus breathing going on there... (projected image circle is expanding and contracting).

Check out the odd flare shape in this image

There's a pentagon as well as a square flare. So the pentagon indicates five aperture blades. Is the square from the mask on the front of the lens?

I don't recall them claiming the blades are rounded - but they do claim that as you stop down you eventually get a circle. The video clip of it being used for video clearly shows the iris and the out of focus highlights seem to show a circle only at the most extreme f-stops and then various more jagged shapes but one's with lots of points not 5.

If it has five blades, the light stars would have 10 points. But the lights aren't really stars and are pretty round. I'm guessing the video was shot wide open, but when the lights go to bokeh dots they do appear to show a slight aperture shape and there are a lot of sides. So I'm inclined to think it has 14 blades and that maybe the test shots were done on a prototype or are a result, somehow, of the front mask.

I'm thinking prototype myself. It would be smart if these guys would contact someone like Adam and send him a copy to have a review done.

Interesting would be neet if they turn into another Samyang. I'd probably impulse buy one for $200 without independent reviews. This is MSRP on a new launch Maybe we'll see lower street prices in a couple months. Yonguo I've also read has started making some decent cheap glass(canikon only)

Apparently they only made 150 or so, with the first 100 being pre-ordered by their fellows in Chinese macro shooters clubs. This may be why the lens is $270 in China, and $380 for the rest of the world - we weren't in on the funding to start production! In any case, it is rather expensive for a macro lens without even an aperture lever, particularly when a barely used Lester Dine macro (with A-setting) can be had for less!

I downloaded a couple raws the contrast seems pretty low unless it's wide open which isn't the case with that DOF. Exif comes up 50mm @ F2 which is clearly wrong. Still though I'll be watching for reviews.

Did the exif indicate the camera they used? If it was m43 it would be expected to be softer than with a Pentax, Nikon, Canon, etc, due to the m43 filter stack. If it was, say, a Canon whatever-D Mark some number then that would be more worrying.
