A very good deal.

And the listing says: 'More than 10 available'.

Grey market? There are a few websites if you google them. Any experience?

That's what I'm wondering. The incredible price says too good to be true without a catch (at least there's no need to worry about not having the hood included, lol). There are two other sellers (bigvalueinc and electroncsvalley) that are also selling 77s, for about ~$620, and have 5 and 2 available, respectively, while 6th Ave has three separate listings for the 77, two with a filter/cleaning kit and one without (with the one linked here being the least expensive). I see quite a few complaints in their negative feedbacks about things not coming with the full array of packaging or being used. I wonder where these 77s are coming from?

I have noticed a 'spike' of sorts in 77mm listings of late. My immediate thought was Pentax is in the process of issuing for sale a 77mm with HD coatings (and other minor mods)......

If I was in the market for a 77 I'd be all over this price. Grey market or not.

True. FA limited lenses are built to last for ever, and there is not SDM to worry about warranty repair.
If i got a copy has assembly issue, I can return it immediately.
So I don't care grey market. The price is better than used ones.

And "grey market" doesn't mean "unrepairable." It just means "you pay for the repair." For a $400 savings, you can likely pay for several repairs.

Wow, that is a smoking hot deal! I paid a little more than that for a used one on eBay from someone who wanted a quick sale. If these are legit then I hope everyone who wants one gets one!

I'd be interested in hearing from someone here who gets one.

Looks like someone got one before the price went up. Maybe the low price was sellers price's cost? When one was sold the seller found out about the listing mistake and quickly updated it!

I bought one. Hard to believe only one sold at that price.

But was told the price was a mistake this morning by email. And asked if I could accept $780. Still a good price so I did.
Too good to be true is always true, I guess.

I guess the price was too good to feel trustworthy. I was just wondering if they'd honor the price after the increase. The other two sellers who had the 77 around that price also brought their prices up, too. I guess one seller made a mistake and maybe pricing algorithms followed suit for the other two. Oh well. Enjoy your 77!
