I bought my K-3 from here, shipping was fast and Pentax/Ricoh USA verified warranty coverage.

PentaxJax - I purchased from same buyer for $599 at the end of December and also had an excellent buying experience. Can you tell me how you confirmed your warranty? Is it honored in both Canada and US? Thanks.

I just emailed them with a copy of the invoice attached and asked if they would accept it. They replied........

"PENTAX International warranty was discontinued and RICOH does not issue "international warranty" coverage.

Should your product require warranty service within the US or Canada, warranty will apply - (provided no physical damage to the product). However, outside of the US and Canada, a repair charge would apply for service - regardless of the age of the product."

It makes sense for this to have been cheaper. This one only had 23.4MP instead of the usual 24.3MP.

I messaged the seller and they replied,

"Our next shipment coming in is near the end of Feb / early March when we hope to run another promotion on the K-3's."

I'm also hoping that more forthcoming news of the Pentax FF will help other retailers push their prices even lower in anticipation.
(Pentax doesn't seem to get enough love here in the US though, so I wouldn't quite expect sales like the recent D7000/18-140mm combos Best Buy has been trying to offload.)
