Need input from anyone that may have used this company before. They have the K3 on sale for $630 - 5% off with free shipping- that comes to $598.50. I was waiting for quickndone for $599 again but may get this one.

Wow! That could be a great price assuming everything work out!

I would be a little concerned with a store called America Cameras being headquartered in the UK. Sounds like it should be called UK Cameras?

They have a 7 day return policy but you have to pay a 15% restocking fee.

I'm not sure if this store is an authorized dealer. That may have an effect on warranty service should you ever need it.

It sounds like a bit of a risk but the price is low so maybe that's enough incentive to take it. If it works out, especially after a year, then you win.

Based on some reviews I wouldn't buy anything from these guys. I'm waiting for quickndone as well.

Based on my experience and others who bought from quickndone; it would be wise to wait for quickndone to have another round of promotional price. There is no push selling (phone calls) of other stuff from quickndone, just straight forward 'new' items from warehouse. Since they don't offer returns unless defective, chance of getting someone else 'try-and-not-buy' item is almost nil.

It's pretty clear by the falling price of the K-3 that a replacement isn't far off. I'd rather wait until the K-3 body drops to $500 - or at least close to it - at reputable retailers that I trust. The K-5, K-5 II and K-5 IIs dropped that low and I'm sure the K-3 will as well. Just be ready to act when it does.

I don't think that there are any old stocks of k-5II/IIs left since that has been discontinued; so the current still production models are k-50 and k-3, plus the newly introduced ones. I too think that the k-3 replacement will be coming.... although it may not be the case.... time will tell.

K-50 is not a current production model. The K-S2 is the replacement in March.

I do not think a K-3 replacement in imminent. The fall in price is likely due to the fall in the Yen and the increase in the Dollar. Camera prices for APS cameras have fallen across the board.
