Tamrac 5374 Adventure backpack $39.99
Posted By: SpecialK, 03-03-2015, 10:32 PM

I'm not normally a backpack guy but I recently got a Ruggard Outrigger for $49.99. I've always liked Tamrac and this seems pretty good.

Nice! I'm very impressed with the quality of the Tamrac. So impressed, I wrote a review:

Let us know how you like yours; sure can't beat either at that price. We owe SpecialK big time for starting this thread!
Yay! I'm glad it worked out.

The gray/black still shows discontinued, not available, at B&H.

The rust/black is still available; but if someone wants one, I'd hurry, as it may also be discontinued soon.

Thanks to this thread I ordered from B&H different model of Tamrac backpack (bearing laptop in mind):
I've had this one for about 4 years....use it as my cabin bag when on international holidays.....works well....also with the camera bottom dividers remove I can place my Domke f-5xc bag in there with K3, F*300 4.5, 15,21,31,43 and 77 in it. With Ipad, book or two and some other personal stuff comes in around 7kg.

Actually I did opposite as I put my Canon Deluxe 200EG on auction site, as I did not feel $$$ gear (DSLR body, 3-4 zoom lenses, flash unit) was secure enough with Canon Backpack, which is lacking securing straps as an addition to the zip for the main camera & lenses compartment . Canon 200EG definitely needs some homework with sewing machine before you go securely to the field/on a trip .

This Limostudio backpack also looks nice ($49 delivered):

I returned it and got the "Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG" instead. It is much better than the Tamrac. But everyone has a different taste
