Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I came across what I believe to be a well-regarded, but fairly rare, K 24 3.5 on Adorama this morning.

Yes, those command a hefty price. The screw-mount version (same optical formula) is fairly easy to find, though, at a much lower price.

From what I gather, it's you film guys who will get the most out of this lens--hope this copy finds a good home. (FWIW, though, if a K28 2.0 comes up, it's every man for himself.
)

There is one at KEH. $452. I guess it's an M 28 f2 so not sure if that's the same one you're talking about.

The K28/2 is a very different beast to the M28/2 - there is no comparison other than for the fact they share the same focal length and max aperture setting. The A28/2 is a good lens (and superior? to the M28/2) - it went for nearly US$400 the other day on eBay. FF lens prices are rising and good luck if you want a K28/2 for these prices.

I guess I saw the price and thought it must be the one that's in demand I stand corrected.

If was an A28/2.0 then get out of the way.

What is an A28/2.0 worth now that FF has been announced? They are so very rare. Perhaps rarer than the K28/2.

LOL - moments after I contemplate this thought the A28/2.0 sold the other day is resisted

Same optical formula, so the main difference is the A setting.

I missed one in a recent auction. It was siting in the backdrops of the camera bundle with an oblique reference in the description. Someone else must have seen the lens and wanted it more than me ..... But that auction went in the 400's
