I really thought hard about buying one of these, and sell mine (which has about 7000 shots in it) but I had to stop myself since I have the extended warranty and all. I don't know if these units (5 total) come with warranty. hope they find good homes

Really? Dang I wish I had tested that. I would have assumed that even if they tested them they would reset that counter before packaging.

I don't think I've ever been more regretful and happy all at once to not see this post in time to order one. This would have been irresistible! Though the warranty situation probably would weigh on my mind all the time. Would that be a valid concern if something like this deal were to happen again?

At least there is a 14 day return policy though and the items seem new enough. Grats and best of luck to those who picked this up!

Mine did. And I only paid $82 more for a full USA warranty for my K-3.

Every Pentax kit I have ordered has been "open box" in the sense that none of them have ever been shrink-wrapped sealed.

I received my k-3 today. The box & camera had clearly been opened, but the plastic bag with the manual, the one with the strap & the one with the charger & cable were all sealed. The bag holding the camera itself and the battery were open, but everything appears as new. I took 4 pics and looked at the exif data, it showed the shutter count as 5. Looks like someone put the battery in, took a shot and then packaged it back up. I'll play with it over the next week or so, if everything functions as it should, I'll be putting my k-30 (w/4311 clicks) & maybe my MX-1 (w/860 clicks), up for sale. I hope the others who purchased these are having a similar experience.
