$500 seems like a much more reasonable price. I'd consider it for that.
Yeah, I would to at that price. If I was not on a buying hold saving money for things that do not exist yet.

$2300 is somewhat high, but $500 is about 1/3 of what a "reasonable" price for this lens currently is.

I did consider it, but didn't want to go into a bidding war over it. Neither did most of the other people involved, it seems... But $500 is still more than I'll pay for a lens that's, for me, "just a rare lens", not a lens I'm likely to use much.

And to buy just in order to sell with a profit? Nah, that's not me

My copy is no display case queen. Use it regularly. I'm not selling it, ever. Until I owned one, I wasn't sure if the price was just due to the rarity. Now that I have, it's clear that the performance is a big driving factor in the premium price.

There you go, thinking of yourself again, what about me?

You can't just be thinking of yourself all the time.! I struggle along with a Vivatar 135 2.8 cause I can't find better, or can't afford better. I coulda been a contender.

I coulda been a regular Kerrowdown with my own Lady Luck.

And here I am sucking as usual because it's all about you.
