Great deal on this lens from a U.S.-based retailer. Very tempted to pull the trigger but I don't have a need for this focal length as I have FA 50 f/1.4 already. Still... LBA....

The FA 50 is an excellent lens, but it is not really anything like the DA 55.

If you are a portrait guy the DA 55 is way better than people give it credit for. As a landscape lens the fa 50 is probably as good. Love my 55, but would like to get the fa 50 again (I sold it to buy the DA 55).
