Im really really curious about this lens. There is no review in Pentax Forums. And its a 300mm F2.8 for $1180 !!! . Such a mistery. Anyone have any info about this lens??

They pop up from time to te and seem to have good IQ though I have no personal experience. The price sounds about 2-300 too high IIRC.

EDIT: this one is an AF model. Probably well worth the price. Too bad I already have the DA 300

I've been watching that lens for awhile. Was rather excited about the possibilities until I came to the fungus part...

Yeah fungus plus being an old model. I'm not sure it would be much better than a modern DA* f4 lens to be honest...but it sure looks cool.

From what I can recall the seller has been listing this item for months, someone should make an appealing offer on this item, with arguments on the flaws and present value. If that feels like too much work, get a DA* 300/f4.
