I didn't say it was perfect condition. But I know KEH ratings are sometimes not what it actually is. Plus they have a very good return policy, if it doesn't work, you can return it, no questions asked.

From my experience with Keh, ugly often entails optical issues (more than once I've gotten fungus in my ugly samples)

KEH UGLY rating has the following comment "Glass will have marks, fungus and/or haze which will affect picture quality"

I know what it says. I have buying and selling to KEH for 15 years. I just said I'd take a chance even if it says ugly and I had the money. I'm like that, I like a challenge fixing lenses.

The lady was simply alerting her fellow members about this lens. I don't think a reply like this, goes well with the friendliness most have experienced here.

With the return policy; at that price, it would be a risk worth taking. I'm like the OP, I don't have the funds or I'd be tempted also.

Their eBay listing for what I believe is the same lens does indicate it has some fungus "There is some fungus in the rear glass around the bottom edge. However it shouldn't have too much of an affect on your images".
