FA Trio: Craigslist
Posted By: UserAccessDenied, 05-08-2015, 07:17 AM

I am not endorsing this listing, nor do I have any affiliation with it... Just want to get the info out to my fellow Pentaxians!

I always search Craigslist and eBay for used gear, along with my favorite: PF Marketplace.

Anyways, I came across the FA Trio the other day for an asking price of $1750 for all three. Items are located in Washington DC for local pickup, but I'm sure the guy would ship them out if you are not local.
Seeing that this is a metropolitan hub, you could even come visit, buy the Trio and spend all weekend shooting in DC, lol

If you're looking for the Fab Three, check it out. I wish I had the money for such an addition to my bag...

I wish I had the cash right now.

Based on the wording of the description and the location, I think the seller might be the same guy I bought a 1.7x autofocus adapter from a couple of months ago. Very nice guy.

I think you could get for 1600 on eBay. Buying individually. So best friend price as a group I call it 1400.

If I could talk the guy town to $725 for the FA31... AND I had $725 just laying around... I'd buy it in a heartbeat, lol.

But all three would look nice in my bag right about now.
I need a prime... Other than my Ricoh 50 f1.7

He mentions Leica twice - take care on the 43.

I really dislike "keyword spammers" like that. It makes it so much harder to sort out the chaff from the grain. These are Pentax limited lenses. His ad already has all the text it needs without the following tag spam:

I've only posted to Craigslist once and it auto populated keywords for me...
Not sure if this guy is spamming or not, but I posted a coffee table once and it automatically dropped in keywords as Mahogany. I had multiple people asking about the Mahogany coffee table, it was pine...

Very frustrating; this was years ago though and it may not be this way anymore.
Just thought I'd chime in...

Isn't the 43mm Leica sold for almost twice what the K-mount version is, used anyway? What have you got to lose!?!

If its the Leica version It has 39mm Screwmount, not K-mount.

Now if you are suggesting he poach an $800 lens for $430 (or whatever it is) . . . . .

If the seller is the person I have previously done business with, his native language is not English, which may explain the confusion regarding the 43mm lens. He explained to me that he is selling most of his Pentax gear to fund purchases of lenses for his Leicas.

I think he's just saying that he's selling them to purchase a Leica rangefinder, not that they are for one - you could read it both ways, but I think he's just replacing equipment.

I lived in Japan. I took it as he was selling Pentax to buy Leica.
