Looks like Amazon already got the new stock. It starts shipping ~~on July 21, 2015~~ now and the price is back to $935.24!

It is now available for shipping immediately but the price is back to $935.24. I replaced mine yesterday and I'll return what I have when I receive the new one.

Thats just 7 dollars difference. Btw B&H and Adorama both have for the same price as well...

Yeah, it is basically the same. I'm more used to Amazon since I'm a prime member and I buy everything from them. I purchased my K-3II on July 2nd and when I contacted Amazon to return it two days ago, they didn't have it in stock. Instead of waiting for the new stock, they asked me to return it and place a new order when it is available, even though their website said that it will be in stock on July 18th. They gave me a $10 courtesy credit and refunded the 1 day shipping fee I paid for the first camera. I ended up paying $918 for a new one. Still the difference isn't much but it is nice of them.

I did the same thing. They sent me an email saying they'll give me a $5 credit for the hassle. I spent $5 in gas just to the UPS store.

No big. I knew I could of asked for $10 off, but they have been super good to me over the years with credits without me ever saying a word. Anyway, good for you. You can use it to buy more gear.

So far, so good with my 2nd new K-3II. It's in the same group as the ones who have issues with the not turning off. However, this one doesn't have it.

Yeah! Amazon has one of the best customer service.

I hope that the new ones will have a higher serial numbers. When I called Pentax, they said that even if your camera has no issues, it is better to send it to us to check it out. It sounds to me that they are sure or at least know that sooner or later, the camera will suffer from the power failure issue. I though it would be easier to just send it back to Amazon since I'm still within the 30days return period.
