I'm sort of surprised that it hasn't sold yet. That's a really good price, but it would be nice to see a picture to learn just how beaten up it is cosmetically.

Yeah, IT IS HEAVY ! but... What a lens!

investors have to understand they will also have to invest in a 1000-1500$ tripod+head/gimbal kit (price new) ... I'd also HIGHLY recommend a lens support such as the one made by Hejnarphotostore.com (Long lens support and 4" rail+Wheels) to reduce the vibrations to a max.... and have a better keeper rate!

See pic below....

Makes the new DFA 150-450 look like a bargain at $2300.

Yeah, but the difference in reach between 600mm and 450mm would be noticeable...
With the HD TC 1.4x, that would make 630mm @ f8

but would that worth 2700$ more ? That is the question...

A sigma 150-600 plus a D810 is a cheaper combination. Any idea as to how the lenses compare?

Can't say, but when i switched from Sigma 150-500 to this one, the difference IQ , color etc was HUGE!

This lens can also make nice macro-like shots @600mm btw... ;-)
