That's a good price, but isn't 6th Avenue Express known for selling grey market equipment?

Ooh, so tempting as a little adventure cam. Hmmm.

Edit: I pulled the trigger. Seems like I could sell it if it doesn't work out. If it does work out I might replace my K-5 with it.
The K-5 has been seeing some use lately as a smaller lighter alternative to my K-3.

I bought one. Great price. Will see if the camera is in good shape.
Had bad experience with 6th Avenue Express before, but I really can not resist the price.

That's crazy low for a K-S2! Nice find - but yes, it's grey market. The seller offers a 1-year parts/90-day labor warranty.

On the website, you say that K-50 is cold resistant but you don't mention anything about that for the K-S2. Are they different in this regard?

I think the Pentax survey had the K-S2 as cold proof to -10 deg C (14 deg F) which would be the same as the K-50.

The weather-sealing specs should be the same for the two cameras.

All my Pentax dSLRs have worked in very cold conditions (well below 0 F), going back to the K-x which isn't even sealed.
As long as I can keep the battery working the cameras have always functioned well.

I'm really liking the 20Mpx sensor on the K-S1 so the S2 is a worthwhile step up. I haven't shot 5-digit ISO but that's not my thing, but reviews show this sensor does quite well.

Also it's good to see the 'Stormtrooper' color scheme still in play bummer the K-s1 only comes in Gandalf white/grey.

I purchased one too. There is a Square Trade warranty available to purchase with this also.

Anyone got the camera? I put the order 4-5 days ago, and was hoping I can use the camera in this weekend. They provided a tracking number 2-3 days ago, but it never shows any update, still shipping information received.
I wonder if it is just me.
As said, I had some bad experience with this store before, so I am a little worrying if I can get one soon.

I will be curious to read your opinions once you have some time with the camera. I have been tempted to get one for the same reasons.
