K-3 for $649 w/ free DA 50mm and flash (Black Friday)
Posted By: Adam, 09-17-2015, 01:32 PM

A nice K-3 deal has just gone up at Adorama (free 50mm lens and flash + K-3 for $649.00):

Pentax K-3 DSLR Camera Body 15530

While the deal surely won't last, it's nice to finally get a break from the stubborn price tag of $749 at US authorized dealers.

K3 and flash has shipped; the lens is on back order, and will be shipped at a later time. I'm very happy that the entire order was not held for the lens!

Looks like it will be here Friday!

From a K10D to a K3? You're going to be blown away when you compare the 2.

Bit at the bait, I am hooked now. At least I can sell the K5 II with some small residual value. That brings the effective (relative) price of the K3 body to approximately $250......
That's a real good idea, except I can't part with any babies. I have my K-x. I bought my K-5ii when they were blown out two years ago. I just picked up a used K-01 because I've been wanting one so bad. I'm hoping the smaller camera & lens combo will get me shooting again. My husband died last year two weeks before Thanksgiving. Just haven't gone out much since.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Maybe getting outdoors would be good, like a photo club or birding club? Good way to make new friends too! Then share the photos on the forum? I had two K-01's and liked them both. I still have one of the 40mm XS lenses. I think that makes a great panorama combo, personally.

Did your husband enjoy photography also? It sounds hard. I wouldn't know where to begin if I lost my wife.

No. My husband had no love for cameras. But he indulged me. I've got the 40XS already plus the plastic duo of 35mm & 50mm. I'm renting a 21mm Limited this week to try it.

Mine was the same way. He had his hobbies, and I had mine. We both encouraged and indulged the other's interests. I loved motorcycles, he didn't. I rode mine to Seattle; he followed in the car! In photography, he graciously carried all my equipment for me, while I took the photos!

So where do I find the extended warranty on the K3 on the Adorama site? I've looked, & looked and cannot find it!

You should be able to click on the 'Accessories' tab part way down the item page, and then on 'Extended Warranty' on the left side. If not just type 'Pentax Warranty' in the site search on the home page.
