---------- Post added 09-30-15 at 09:20 AM ----------

I had to pull the trigger on the black one. Was about to spend $40 for a bag anyway...

If you give me $1000 I'll get it for you :-)

If only I hadn't bought my K-50, but the K-50 is nice.

Cool...my K-50 purchase experience was January 2014 apparently after Pentax changed the composition of the standard bundle. I believe the DA-L WR debuted about that time.

Steve
I bought a K-50 bundle that said DA L 18-55 and DA L 50-200, and ended up with DA 18-55 and DA L 50-200

Worthy of consideration, but I don't need the lenses. Thinking about sending my NEX-6 to a new home if this is a better camera. PM me if you're interested in splitting the cost for the lenses.

Just a week or two ago Costco was selling the K-50 with 2 lenses and a bag for $499 and they also had the K-S2 as well (I think it was $599). I passed on both and instead picked up the 2 lens K-50 kit on Amazon for $408US. When I opened the box, I also found a 4GB eyefi card. Bonus! As for a bag, I went with an Amazon basics, given it's backpack design looked larger and more practical. I think it had better reviews than the Pentax bag as well. Aside from price, what steered me away from the K-S2 was a review I read stating the retractable lens was problematic.

Pentax bag will hold better in the long run. Amazon basics are not bad though. They tend to loosen up over a period of time and the typical problem of seems undoing themselves make them less durable. My Pentax bag has held up for almost 4 years now. Its a good quality lightweight bag.

The K-50 sensor is still using the K-5 sensor. The KS-2 has a newer sensor (may not necessarily be better) and has more MPs. WIll all the bells and whistles that come with it. Its a no brainer for the current costco price.

Man this is getting harder to resist. Good thing they don't have them in the stores.

Dang! I just ordered a K-50 with the 18-55 and 50-200 lenses two days ago. Wondering if I would be better off getting this. My K-50 should be delivered tomorrow but Amazon does returns... What do you guys think?

I'm not excited by the lenses but it's a terrific body.

Just received mine from Amazon. $408US is a great deal on a K-50 and I have every intention to keep it. This is also my first DSLR, so I personally don't find any need for anything more. From what I have read, the K-50 has better handling (e.g. larger grip and easier to hold). That's a big plus for me.

Thanks! This is my first DSLR too. I guess I just have a tendency to worry if I made the right decision. My K-50 should be getting here this afternoon and I can't wait to try it out. I don't think I want to invest the extra money in the K-S2 right now. Also the easier to hold is great because I'm pretty clumsy haha.

I wouldn't worry the K50 is a great camera. I have been really impressed with mine. I use it right along with my K3.

The price on this has dropped from $749 to $499 in less than 2 months. This looks like a good deal but the K3 deal from Adorama tempts me even more. I would rather have the 50mm lens than either of these in the Costco bundle.

If the bundled lenses are 18-50 and 55-200, I will say go for it.
The new 18-50 lens is a great little lens, looks and works wonderful on KS2, and K-01. I love mine. It makes camera kit so much easier to carry. match it with DA 70 and you can handle most situations.

Not sure why do you think so. The new kit lens is more compact, sharper, newer coatings than the older one. Besides it has quick shift and silent focus motor which makes it more expensive and desirable for the kit. The 55-200WR is also a proven lens sharper than the one in the kits offered by other providers. This is one heck of a deal at the moment. Don't forget the newer RE lens goes for $300 new by itself ($297 to be precise) as it is. So this $499 for a zoom + RE lens + body is too screaming a deal already.
For any one who is buying his first DSLR this is a no brainer deal. And then Costco warranties (you wont feel the need though) make it sweeter than ever.
