I think you're right. I think being a Promaster authorized dealer also makes them a Pentax authorized dealer by default.

The Promaster web site allows you to locate dealers by location. I tried a few cities that also had dealers on the Ricoh authorized resellers list (I have version 4 from October 2014) but did not get any more matching hits. There must be other Promaster dealers who are also Pentax dealers but I don't think it is necessarily a default case. It may be worth searching further, in case another dealer has a better base price.

Pulled the trigger on the Samy's deal. Rebate is annoying but I already printed it out. Camera arrives tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up... I have been considering moving from my K5 to K3ii for a while. Excited for the GPS, more MP, and to try out pixel shift. Will be curious if I see a big difference.

So I wonder if the rebate applies. "7. Offer NOT VALID with any other promotion. Offer is void where prohibited. Offer may be cancelled at anytime without prior notice."

I would hate to be out 200 bucks if they deny the request..

Good catch I didn't realize that. It's possible a "sale price" would qualify as a promotion. I took it to mean something like a mail in rebate. I'll send ProMaster an email and report back.

Just called Ricoh Imaging and confirmed that Image One Camera and Video is an authorized dealer. However like you pointed out they are not on the 2014 list. I also noticed not all of the ProMaster dealers had the rebate form on the product page or the mention of the rebate. I guess you have to do a little homework on this before buying.

That said, I wonder if Image One would confirm, in writing, the rebate applies to this deal at their site? Then, if Ricoh turns around and denies it, you can go back to Image One and deal with them.

So an update on the Image One Camera and Video price. I called the store and they said the rebate would still apply although their price is a sale price. I wrote an email to ProMaster and they said the same thing, that a sale price wouldn't make a difference.

I think the term "any other promotion" is a general statement that'll apply in the event that ProMaster happens to have two promotions running and you try to apply to both.

I will get a confirmation from ProMaster in writing and keep it on file, and if anyone in the future has any issues I'll forward the email as proof. But I highly doubt that would be the case.
