Samy's Ricoh $100 rebate on S1, K-50 & S2

Samy's Ricoh $100 rebate on S1, K-50 & S2 · **1 Like**

The $200 rebate on the K-3II has already been mentioned here, but I note that my rebate form shows $100 rebates on the cameras listed in the subject line. Sheesh, the K-50 with kit zoom is $249 after the rebate...I'm never gonna be able to sell my used one. The rebate is supposed available at other retailers via Promaster, but I never did find another one that honored the rebate besides Samy's. The offer ends 12/31.

The rebate form states that a store bar code will not be accepted. So, is that a manufacturer sticker or a store sticker is the real question?

Yeah, that is what I'm not 100% sure on. I've reached out to Promaster once again and I will update once I hear back.

I wasn't sure that the sticker wasn't a new Pentax UPC. The last digit is different - 06426 vs 06424. I pulled it off & stapled both on to the form... just in case. Think that'll do coz I have a 2nd one to mail in?

Samy's has been around forever - the mid 70s as I recall. They are one of the few camera stores that rent equipment to from camera bodies, lenses to lighting rigs.

colone100 that is what I did. I cut that whole section out and stapled it to the rebate form. Kept copies of everything of course.

How long did it take for y'all's orders to arrive?

I ordered on Wednesday I believe. I was originally scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday but FedEx dropped it off yesterday. That was quite nice since it required a signature.

Yes. Looking back through emails, it looks like I ordered on Tuesday and it shipped out Wednesday. But yes, I did receive a separate email once it shipped. Perhaps, if you ordered Wednesday or later, they have been closed for the holiday weekend or at least haven't been processing any shipments until tomorrow.

Well, see, the thing is, I'm in Disney. For a week. I sure hope they send me an email with a tracking number so my sister can intercept the box.

Ah, well mine was signature required so I would imagine you will get both a notification from Samy's probably tomorrow and FedEx will contact you as well. At least for me, the FedEx driver called me about an hour before he was going to be at my house to make sure I was home. I would just call Samy's tomorrow and check in and let them know what is going on. They might be able to have it held at your local FedEx for pickup when you are back in town.

I just bought a black K-50 from Samy's, including 18-55 WR DAL lens, and they're throwing in a $59 flash unit. With the $100 rebate, that makes this a great deal: $249 for new K-50, lens and flash. The website says they're out of stock (after you order, they tell you this), but in actuality, they have stock and are shipping within 2 days. Smokin'!
