I'm on the fence still.. K-3 upgrade was an obvious until Precision came around and are dragging their heels. We have sucky repair services in the USA when it comes to Pentax gear. One option and that option is awful. So not sure what to do.. Buy the K-3 for cheap, buy the d7100 for cheap, buy nothing and just use the K-5II. Oh such a 'terrible' dilemma. haha

Yeah.. but you are in Canada. You might have helpful repair services in your country. Down here it is a different situation. It is a mixture of incompetence and apathy I think at Precision camera. It is no fun!

Nikon have 4 or 5 authorized facilities in the US.. Pentax just 1. It is so bad I don't even recommend Pentax anymore to fellow citizens - I tell them stay away from Pentax unless you want to spend the $$$ on the 645Z. I suspect those get better support. haha

Self flagellation is only good in moderation. Too much of it, and you start getting light headed.

I almost bought a K-S2 (actually did but sent it back without even opening it) because that price level did not have the Ultrasonic II piezo dust shake whatever mechanism. So, I waited and a month or two later the K-3 bundle was offered (and still available). Much happier with getting the particular features that I really wanted. Just an anecdotal tale.
