A rep from Ricoh/Pentax gave me the "straight dope" and told me that as long as you buy Pentax from a seller in the US and it's shipped to an address in the US, then Ricoh/Pentax will honor warranty service and won't really care about authorized dealer or not. He said it excluded eBay sales unless the seller is a store and provides their own invoice, not the eBay invoice.

Lens actually arrived yesterday. Very quick service. However, Jet.com sure seems more and more like a sham. My package came with a "gift receipt" saying the lens was purchased for me from Skar Audio, LLC. Anyone else get something like this?

Fair, how about slightly shady? Waiting to hear back from Skar Audio to see what info they can provide. It's just a weird model. Nothing I received says jet.com anywhere that I can see.

I got the same receipts. Besides these, I noticed the UPC under the box was covered by another code, which I think is weird code. Is the lens a return or something?
