Cool and out of my price range. He also has Asahi Pentax SMC F/3.5 18mm, one I'd never seen. Built-in filters? Yes, built-in filters.

Maybe I'm feeling extra cynical today but I swear I've read that exact same description before on Ebay for other lenses over the past year. The whole part about selling for family and not being a professional photographer. Anywhoo, sure hope whoever grabs that lens ends up with a gem.

No, the first photo clearly shows the writing, "SMC Pentax-A 1:3.5 15mm". And it looks just like this one: SMC Pentax-A 15mm F3.5 Reviews - A Prime Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database

But as TomTom points out the seller also has a K 18mm f3.5 for sale: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Asahi-Pentax-SMC-F-3-5-18mm-K-Mount-lens-5328943-w-case-/181967998269

You have read it. I've been seeing it for at least the last 8 months to a year if I remember correctly.

There is both an 18mm and 15mm and he also has a nice collection of 6x7 gear.

I don't know him of course, but I exchanged a few emails with him last night. Seems legit and he gave me a link to a dropbox account with photos of the entire collection. Looks exactly like what you would have if a long time photographer left you his gear collection. Some gems and lot of filters, adapters, cases, straps and so on. There is a 6x7 set and a 645 set as well as a nice collection of k-mount glass.

I bought the 20mm off him, so we will see if I get burned or not.

Well the Pentax-A 20mm arrived and is in mint condition. Very happy with it.

If anyone is interested in the other gear he has for sale I can at least attest that he shipped on time on the lens arrived in very good condition.

Me either. But if you are in the market for a couple of rather rare collectible lenses, well, here you go. Both an 18mm and a 15mm. But I would think those would both be just collectibles at this point.

Mine comes Tuesday As for the 18 and 15, I might want to collect them but not at those prices. I'd never use them.

Aye my Mistress and her sisters like to try and keep a low profile, that's why you don't see too many of them about.

Hard to keep a low profile when you have a frontal aspect that substantialů

You can't beat a bit of "Frontal Aspect".

Perhaps I am just too practical, but if a person wants a younger (uh, er newer), faster and cheaper one with the frontal aspect, then go for the Samyang:

Samyang 14mm Ultra Wide-Angle f/2.8 IF ED UMC Lens SY14M-P B&H
