The Sigma 20mm f/1.8 also known as "El Hombre" is being sold by National Camera Exchange on Ebay for 249.00. They have 6 units and they are marked as refurbs. With a 30 day warranty, it might be worth a try for the K-1, no?

I meant, it would be worth testing it now for centering or AF issues, and if it's a good copy, to keep for the K-1

I purchased this lens for my D800 thinking it would make a great astro lens -- NOT. It has probably the worst coma I have ever experienced with any lens over my 38+ years as a professional photographer. I quickly sold it shortly after discovering its true nature. HOWEVER, if you plan to shoot in "normal" light with no speculars, it really is a quite sharp lens, even wide ope -- ironically not all that bad for a certain kind of portraiture or event photography.

To answer my own question, a little searching led to a couple clues: someone who did a lot of lens reviews and tests awhile back liked this lens. Due to it's size and even huger lens hood, he dubbed it "El Hombre", sorta like "The Big Guy." And people seem to have called it that ever since.
