That a hell of a price for a new FA31mm. Hope PF members will use this opportunity because the FA31mm is a real beauty.

The FA 31mm will still be as good today as in a few years from now.

If you ask me, the FA Limiteds won't be re-released with updated coatings anytime soon, since I think will be bigger priorities in the early years of the Pentax digital FF system.

$718 is just under £500. Wow! It would be the end of my marriage but I'm thinking it might be worth it

This lens still goes for at least€1149 in Europe (NL). You guys in US are lucky with your pricing!

Nice one. I bought it for 950 a few years back and while the price has come down since then, but I don't begrudge it at all. It is a great lens -- but all the better if in the low 700 dollar range.

I have the Zeiss 35 f2 ZK, but this lens' bokeh has always impressed me. What to do, what to do...

I sure wish it was easier to try a lens for a day to test it. I don't like buying from B&H if I think there's a good chance I might return it, just feels disingenuous.

The dilemma is to save for K-1 or spend on this nasty of a deal.

I`ve just done some quick research

Take the price of the lens + shipping, = A
Calculate VAT at 20% = B
Calculate Duty @ 6.7% of A ( I think ) = C
Total landed cost should be A + B + C

So approximately $720 + $25 ( cheapest shipping ) = $745 * 1.2 = $894 = A + B
$745 * 6.7% = $50 = C

Landed cost should be" approx." $894 + $50 = $944 = £655 again approximately..
