This is what Overstock terms "New in non-retail packaging". I received the lens in a white box with the caps and hood and a "Serial Number Card". Overstock's customer support assures me that the lens is covered under the factory warranty, but take that for what you think it is worth. I have doubts, but for the cost I think it was worth the risk.

Forget about warranty, but that's a great price!
