No problem. Phones are like that. Actually, I wasn't trying to correct or contradict you - an offer had been made, and as I don't know how the offer system works, I thought that was what had pushed the price up.
Originally posted by IgorZ Regarding prices for these, I have a feeling that for older lenses prices are pretty much whatever the buyer is willing to pay - the other day I saw A 50 1.2 in "as is" condition for around $500US, I saw another one, I think M 50 1.2 for over 200US with a front element cracked, so when I saw this one I thought it was an amazing deal. Is there rhyme or reason to these prices?
Some people don't know what they've got till it's gone. You can get lucky - I've read about some lucky guy who picked up a mint A 50/1.2 for under $100 in an ebay auction, but that's a once in a lifetime lucky stroke.
Originally posted by bertwert There was no M 50/1.2, just K 50/1.2 and A 50/1.2
Correct. However, some sellers - either ignorant or unscrupulous - sometimes offer M 50/1:2.0 lenses (or K or A types) as 1.2's because they (either allegedly or deliberately) confuse the semicolon and the decimal point.
