You don't see these often and a VERY good price to boot ($135 buy-it-now). Be advised: Tiny fungus, but it seems to be negligible.

Asahi Auto-Takumar 35/2.3

Pentax Auto Takumar 35mm F 2 3 Asahi M42 Mount Lens"Nice Condition" from Japan | eBay

I'd jump on it if I didn't already have one.

The perfect companion for that original Pentax K I saw a while back - good thing it's cheap, seeing as the K was going for more than a Nikon D5!!!

The perfect companion . . . . .

Well, other than that 'small bit of fungus' in the center that won't affect images other than the higher F-stops (note - no Returns).

I think a bit of UV to kill it and a cleaning should do nicely. Perhaps Brian (DCShooter) can elaborate as to the likelihood of it being eliminated via a good CLA.

There is that, yes, but CLA-capable potential owners can and will dismiss that concern and everybody else with half a brain will dismiss the lens. If I bought such a lens, it would be with the expectation that I'd be taking it apart to try to clean it or had easy access to somebody who could.

If he read the reviews here it could be even worse (someone describes buying their copy at $250), so I hope someone snaps it up quickly!

nobody has bought it yet because there aren't any useful pics of the reputed fungus, and there isn't any way to tell if there is permanent damage... it's not even clear exactly which element has problems.

ad title says "from japan" but the seller is in texas.

Nice ... Still a very good price for what seems to be a fine specimen. I paid $230 for mine and that was a good deal at the time.
