After tax and shipping, that's $305 ish.... wish I bought mine for that! But this lens and the 06 are really what make the Q system awesome.

Mine is ordered! It should make a great travel kit with 01-03-06. Not sure the 02 will see much action now, since I only was using it for wide angle shots which will now be the job of the 08... In addition that the 08 is quite smaller than the 02, a rather large lens considering what it is...

Yep. I've just received an email about the order I made yesterday telling me that the price is 589.95 and not 349$.

Thats awful, to take an order and then cancel, hate when businesses do this.
I ordered mine and got an email saying it will be mailed to me express. Then I put notice here, maybe they got a few orders from it?

I guess they only had a few in stock and the special price only applied to these units. What they exactly say to me was that the lens was out of stock but they still could get one from Pentax at the regular price if I wished to. I rather choose to cancel the order.

This is a shame. The new price is no bargain but the lens remains, in itself, a good reason to keep the Q7 and later. Keep looking, its worth it!

They are always available new on Amazon and eBay for around $350. Shipped from Japan. Not as good a price as the one posted here, and not as good a price as wanted in general
