I saw this too.

BUT

This OPEN BOX product you are browsing has been inspected by our qualified technicians to ensure that it meets factory specifications and includes all factory packed accessories. It is guaranteed to be in perfect working order but it is sold in "AS IS" condition (for example, the box may be torn, there may be cosmetic scratches, etc), returns will not be accepted unless the item is found to be defective.

There is probably no warranty either since Dig.com is not an authorized Ricoh dealer.

It says full US Warranty on the new one though.

BuyDig is associated with Beach Camera, which is an authorized Ricoh/Pentax dealer. As I understand it, BuyDig is Beach's Ebay outlet, so there shouldn't be a problem with a US warranty.

These 'Open Box' cameras are probably all K-1's returned to the dealer because of a 'defect' like a persistent vibration inside them when turned on.

Or review site didn't want to pay rental fees.

Or photog wanted to try it out (didnt want to pay rental fees).

Or it spits out marshmallows from the front when the shutter release button is pressed.

It arrived here today. Looking good, fully complete in it's box, although it does have a 450 shutter count.

Enjoy your camera. Not a high shutter count for a camera that is rated for 300,000 actuations.
