A 28/2.8 on KEH
Posted By: CreationBear, 07-06-2016, 06:05 PM

Probably a misprint (so I don't know if KEH will honor the price) but $99 might get you some nice legacy glass tonight:

FWIW, Kerrowdown has been a hammer lately with his copy...

That's a fair price for a 2.8. Maybe a little high. This is not the A 28 F2. I would part with mine for $100 anytime, but KEH will only give you $20-58...

Ha, I like buying from KEH, but given their price structure I have to wonder if they get most of their stock from estate sales.

At any rate, do try the A28/2.8 on the K-1 before making too good of a bargain...

When I had one I sold it locally for $60... and it took a little while.

That's interesting--I suppose I should temper my enthusiasm for legacy primes No doubt there are a ton of them out there, but it seems in most FL's and similar apertures the chipped A-series commands a little better price than the M-series equivalent.

But I said before in my defence, the K1 made me do it... honest Guv.

But it's essential to get the "Unholy Alliance" Olympus hood... to ensure this lens works correctly.

Those Oly hoods are great option for the 49mm filter rings--I ran one from an Zuiko 28mm f/3.5 on my DA21 Lmt. for a while...a 67mm lens cap fits it nicely. (FWIW, I do the same with my 52mm K's with the Nikon HN-3 hood--a 72mm Tamron cap works great on these as well.)
