disclaimer: I know the seller this is an old friend of the family's son. These items however are special and rare to get in great condition. I own some of his old items and all are in top shape. I have not inspected these items but his integrity is excellent. He has no idea I'm promoting these here. My goal is simple. I want these to stay in the family so to speak. I know people here care about lenses like these. He is moving to a more video oriented camera brand so these need new homes. I'm only posting links to the rarer items. Search his other items if you want. More stuff pops up every few days.

First up is the rare FA* 80-200 f 2.8. Pentax Pentax P FA 80 200mm F 2 8 If Ed Lens | eBay

Next an F* 300 f4.5 Pentax 300mm F 4 5 Lens Lightly Used Excellent Condition Fast and Clear | eBay

FA* 24 f2 Pentax Pentax SMCP FA 24mm F 2 Lens for Pentax | eBay

A 20 f2.8 Pentax Pentax SMCP FA 20mm F 2 8 Lens for Pentax | eBay (incorrectly labeled FA)

He has other less rare items like FA limiteds (43/77) and a DA lens or two listed.

Hopefully it was a real sale.
It was very real and he's already been paid. I had no idea it would reach such a price but I was ready because the lens looked to be pristine, which he confirmed in a PM to me; and after your post about his integrity (and letting everyone know on the planet it was for sale ) . . .

I avoid this part of the forum if there is something I am interested in for sale, I just don't want to know who I have to compete with.

He is a great guy and his Dad was a Pentax sales rep for many years. Those lenses have lineage and have been well cared for. I am so glad someone here got it.

Indeed. Now there is FF digital, this lens is even more desirable. One (and there are some) of the advantages of this lens is the compact size and retractable/ built in hood. Seriously good for handling.

May the buyer have fun with this lens!

That's exactly what I am shooting for—FF upping IQ and compactness. I know my other three lenses—FA 31 & 77 and the Voigtlander 58—all seem alien they perform so much better on the K-1 than my K-3, (which I thought was great). As for compactness, with the F*300 my four lenses weigh about 1900g total, and will with a bit of arranging fit in a discreet Case Logic sling. If Pentax makes a 24mm compact I can squeeze in there, I will be able to die in peace.

For what it's worth, when travelling OS I take a Domke 5xc and it holds my K-1, 20/31/43/77 and the F*300... really quite a small... bag with awsome kit. Currently I'm using a Voigtlander 20/3.5....

Another bag I like is the smaller Domke 5xb in wax wear..... K-1 fits with 31 on it with the F*300 along side.... or two other primes in lue.

5mp crop F*300 on K-1

It sold and cheaply compared to past sales. Someone got a bargain.

I have the FA*24. It's got its charms but the corners are absolute mush below f/8. It's really more of a f/11 lens for landscapes. That said, it's really pretty cool at f/10. Definitely does some neat pinhole-like rendering and has a distinct power to the way it renders lines if you get the camera angle right.

The lens got here fast and was in the condition he described. Your friend Jeffrey apparently sold most his stuff but it looks like the FA 80-200mm sale fell through because it is back on Ebay. Jeffrey included with my lens a very nice note and a souvenir from days gone by, now hanging on my Flipside 300:
