Leitaxed Carl Zeiss Distagon 28/2 ZF-to-ZK - $540 US + shipping
Posted By: Scintilla, 10-31-2016, 04:12 PM

Zeiss Distagon 28mm f/2 ZF lens adapted for use on PENTAX K cameras (K3,K1) - ZK | eBay

Seems like a steal considering what I'm used to seeing these lenses (and the earlier Contax/Pentax versions) going for.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this lens has the same optical formula as the older infamous Hollywood K28/2 or Contax Zeiss 28/2.

Crud. On further review, you're right: the ZE/ZF has one more element in the rear section than the Contax/Pentax "Hollywood", replacing the single element directly behind the aperture with a doublet. (The optical formula and charts look very similar otherwise.)

But I can't edit the subject line to correct this error. Mods?

Still seems like a heck of a deal though, especially considering what a Leitax mount costs.

Good deal for sure! Leitax mounts cost about $100 USD, with another $100 to have it installed!

You know, I've used that button before plenty of times, but not for the first post in a thread; I have no idea why I missed it. Thanks!

Still a pretty good price. I paid $600 for my ZF.1, and converted it myself. Certainly worth it if you are at all hesitant to shave down the aperture ring.
