Good point. A smart and savvy buyer could probably snap it up for as little as $9,500... Leaving more than enough for a decent UV filter

I wonder if it can be de-clicked for video use?

There was one in our marketplace, sometime within the last 3 years. I recall it being in MUCH nicer condition, and the seller was asking only $5k USD.

You'd struggle to spend that much on a brand new 100mm lens from any manufacturer. Is it really that great, or is the idea that it's a collector's piece like a first edition comic or some such?
